The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) has established itself as one of the city’s valued cultural assets with an extensive programme of concerts, education, and outreach activities. As one of Auckland Live’s key major presenters, we are thrilled to have the APO in-residence at the Auckland Town Hall. 

The orchestra performs more than 50 mainstage concerts each year, and has developed a reputation for innovative, passionate, and diverse performances that attract audiences of all ages and interests. It’s ‘Connecting Programme’ and partnership with the Sistema Aotearoa Trust – also supported by Auckland Live - offers a range of fantastic educational opportunities for young music lovers.

The APO regularly supports our other resident companies - New Zealand Opera and the Royal New Zealand Ballet - when they perform at our venues in Auckland.
